FIFA 14 Crashing or Freezing on Xbox One or PS4? Learn how to fix it!

This is a guide on how to fix crashing and freezing in FIFA14 for the next gen consoles (Xbox One and PS4).

If you're the owner of a next gen console and FIFA14, chances are you've ran in to some problems with freezing and/or crashing. This crashing and freezing is not related to broken consoles, scratched discs or anything of the sort. It's related to your profile in FIFA14 and it's easy to fix. Once you make a quick change in your profile you'll be able to enjoy FIFA14 for Xbox One or PS4 without all the freezing and crashing involved.


Follow these steps:

1) Disconnect from network. (Settings>Network>Disconnect from Network)
2) Start up FIFA14.
3) Navigate to 'Customize' Tab.
4) Navigate to 'Settings'
5) Change the referee
6) Back out of 'Settings'
7) Navigate to 'Profile' tab
8) Click on 'Save Profile'
9) Click 'Yes' on pop-up
10) Restart, reconnect, boot up FIFA14.

This works every time and will help you resolve freezing and crashing issues on the title and/or menu screens!

FIFA 14: How To Use Custom Tactics Online

One thing that evaded me for awhile when beginning to play FIFA was how to create custom tactics for use in online modes of FIFA 14, such as Ultimate Team (FUT) and Seasons. As many others, I rarely play offline game modes and therefore wasn't aware how to create these custom tactics. The menu for custom tactics in FIFA 14 Ultimate Team online are not present in the online menus. This is easily fixed by using the same approach, but offline. Below I've created a video that will help you create custom tactics for use in FIFA Ultimate Team online:

In this video I will explain how you can create, save, and use your own custom tactics online, even in FIFA 14 Ultimate Team, for Xbox 360, PS3, Xbox One, and PS4.

Steps:

1. Enter 'Kick-Off' Mode
2. Select any league, team or kit.
3. In the Pre-Match menu options, select 'Team Management'
4. Select 'Custom Tactics'
5. In 'Custom Tactics', select the first option to pick a default tactic to edit or replace.
6. Select
7. Save Custom Tactic to an empty slot.
8. In the Team Management menu, select 'Quick Tactics'.
9. Replace a 'Quick Tactic' slot with a 'Custom Tactic' that you've created.
10. Use your customized tactic in game.
