You Need:
- Xbox 360 Controller
- 2 AA Batteries
- 4 Pennies
- Electrical Tape (Packaging, masking, or duct tape works too. Avoid scotch tape [too weak])
- Scissors
Steps:
1) Insert Battery 1 + Side Down
2) Insert Battery 2 - Side Down
3) Insert 4 Pennies on top of/in-between 2 batteries
4) Make sure batteries and pennies are snug and securet
5) Cut 3 pieces of electrical tape (2 shorter, 1 longer)
6) Put 2 pieces of shorter electrical tape over batteries horizontally
7) Put the longer piece of tape vertically across the pennies and batteries
8) Use your controller!
Yes! This actually does work. Although If you're looking for a long term solution, I wouldn't recommend this as taking the batteries out and replacing the tape can be a bit of a time consuming process (if you consider 10 minutes or less time consuming). Aside from that, the stability of the battery pack isn't quite where you want it to be if you're like me, always moving my controller around, using it for action games, etc. However, this will work temporarily and allow you to continue to play your Xbox 360 using the Xbox 360 controller.

Where can I buy a replacement for the back of my controller? The part where the springs are in the battery pack is broken.
